Careers site: explaining the real work

The careers page of most industrial companies describes the company, not the job. The candidate wants to know what they will do on Monday morning, with whom, on which projects and with how much autonomy. A useful careers site answers that, job by job.

What makes a job page work

  • It describes a real day, not a mission in three adjectives.
  • It names the technologies, programmes and teams, within the limits of what can be communicated.
  • It says what the job is not, which filters out unsuitable applications.
  • It gives the floor to someone who does the work, by name.
  • It answers the questions candidates actually type, so it can be found.

Our scope

What we do not do

  • We do not replace your applicant management tool; we connect to it.
  • We do not publish content that the legal department or site security has not validated, in the sectors concerned.

How we work

As a project, on a quote, after a written scoping. The content and the sources belong to you.

Frequently asked questions

A separate careers site or a section of the corporate site?

A section, in most cases. A separate domain splits the authority already built up and complicates visibility, for an image benefit that is often theoretical.

Our vacancies are already on job boards; is that enough?

To receive active applications, yes. To be chosen by someone comparing three employers, no: they will read your job page, not your advert.

What should we do about profiles that are not looking?

They are the ones who matter. They do not read job adverts; they read what your company publishes about its work, sometimes months before they move.
